Introduction

  • Speech & Language Pathologist (SLPs) provide speech & language therapy to prevent, assesses, diagnose, and treat Speech, Language, Social-Communication, Cognitive-Communication and Swallowing Disorders in Children and Adults.
  • Speech is the sounds we produce / pronounce with the help of different articulators of mouth (example- lips, tongue, soft palate etc.). But, if the sounds are not understood by others due to Speech, Articulation, Voice or Fluency errors, it is indicative for the Speech, Articulation, Voice or Fluency Problems.
  • SLPs/ STs help in developing Normal Speech, Language, Articulation, Voice or Fluency.
  • Speech Therapy is an art and needs patience for results or outcomes in the child or adult.
  • As soon as the problem observed, there is an urgent need for the Speech Therapy and better will be the outcome. Late the Problem Diagnosed, Late will be the speech or language intervention, poorer will be the outcomes.
  • SLPs / STs must be registered under RCI.
  • Results are great if the session activities are carried over to at the home as well as with frequent and regular follow ups.

Our Therapist maintains National Certification through the Rehabilitation Council of India and licensure. The speech-language pathologist participates in on going continuing education opportunities to remain current in best diagnostic and treatment Practice.
